Data Object S3

This directory contains a series of results figures for Elkins and Lambart (submitted), showing isotope activity ratios as gridded model outcomes for a range of solid mantle upwelling rates (W) and maximum residual porosity values (phi), and for the three melting model scenarios described in the text. Most model results are shown for final melting pressures of 5 kbar, but several alternative pressures are tested, as indicated in the figure labels. A few model runs tested alternative plagioclase partition coefficients as described in the text, and as also indicated in the figures.

Files included:
* 'G2_1400_pyx_grid_Pa_Th_diseq': An actual model output figure showing (231Pa/235U) vs. (230Th/238U) for a single batch of model calculations, in this case for disequilibrium transport melting outcomes for a 5% G2 pyroxenite source at Tp = 1400 C. This style of panel was used to generate all of the compiled figure results in the list below.
* 'G2_1300_1': Run results for 1% G2 pyroxenite at Tp = 1300C. Top row of panels show peridotite melt compositions, and the bottom panels show results for melting of pyroxenite. Each pair of panels shows (226Ra/230Th) and (231Pa/235U) vs. (230Th/238U) activity ratios. The left column shows results for equilibrium (batch melting) transport, the middle column shows results for pure disequilibrium (true fractional) transport, and the right column shows results for partial chemical equilibrium with a Damkhler number (Da) of 0.1, as described in the text. All other figures listed below refer to similar filenames and panel arrangements, unless otherwise indicated.
